A bit about me
I am an IT Governance and Service Management Consultant working for TeamUltra, a small IT Service Management consultancy. Until September 2008 I was with Fox IT – in fact I was with them for 26 years!
I’ve been in the IT business since 1975, so I have acquired extensive practical IT experience across a wide range of industry sectors. I’m interested in all aspects of IT Service Management and IT Governance, and I have a good knowledge of IT management frameworks including ITIL, COBIT, MOF, ISO/ISE 38500 and ISO/IEC 20000.
I hope that this web site will be a source of information and opinion on the current state of the IT industry, and I hope that you will help me by contributing your own ideas and commenting on other people’s (including mine).
As well as IT matters, my other interests include beer (mainly “real ale”, but anything that fits the beer category – even lager!), football (I’m a Reading FC season ticket holder – obviously disappointed after last season’s relegation), and music (mainly blues, folk and jazz, but basically anything except country & western!). I will try to set up some linked websites to cover these subjects.
